e-Visa Requirements for Citizens of South Korea

e-Visa for Koreans Citizens

Residents of the Republic of Korea planning a trip to India for the purpose of tourism, and do not plan on staying for more than sixty days, can apply online for an e-Tourist visa. Applications for an India tourist visa for Korean citizens must be submitted at least four days before the date of departure.

If business is the purpose for the visit, then an application must be made for an India business visa for Korean citizens. Likewise, a medical visit for an operation or other type of medical procedure, requires an India medical visa for Korean citizens.

The Indian government and immigration authorities need to know why citizens from foreign countries wish to enter the country. Naturally, tourists, business travelers and people seeking medical help are always welcome, however, it is important to keep track of who enters the country and for what purpose. This information not only helps keep the Indian population safe, it is also vital for the planning of future infrastructure changes and economic well-being.
